"The word "addiction" is what a senior student from the University of Hong Kong mentioned when she shared her learning experience before I enrolled in the programme. So I was curious and slightly puzzled. It was not until six months into the programme that I understood what the state of addiction was. So what is it? In the class, case studies are used to help you perceive the world, perceive yourself, and upgrade your perception. Through a lot of discussions and training, different perspectives, different views, and different experiences, a variety of different thinking is brought together, which makes me very inspired and enlightened. Aiming for an A+ on every assignment requires reading and looking up a lot of materials, repeated self-affirmation, denial, re-correction and then finalisation. The process of transformation and growth is painful but beautiful as if a tight string is always pulling you forward, urging you on with a growth mindset, allowing you to become more refined, energetic and confident. "It's been almost a year since I graduated from the IPM at the HKU Institute for China Business (HKU ICB). Last year's graduation ceremony was held in Lee Shau Kee Hall at the University of Hong Kong. Wearing a grand graduation gown, when I heard my name, then proudly strode to the centre of the stage, and was solemnly awarded the graduation certificate by Professor N.R. Liu, the Director of HKU ICB, I suddenly felt that all the nights spent writing homework, the weekend studying, and the project brainstorming had become very precious. The faculty members at HKU ICB are very distinguished, firstly, they are not young, but they all maintain a stylish body, which shows a high degree of self-discipline in daily life; secondly, they are all industry leaders, including many CXOs of multinational companies, so the lesson plans are different from traditional MBA, they are all an innovative combination of theory + practice + classics + contemporary. The must-have module for each month. Since it's a financially rewarding field of study, it's mentally demanding.
