Dr. Yip is currently engaged in asset management as an External Asset Manager at UBS and other private banks, providing discretionary high-end asset management for clients. Dr. Yip is also engaged in ESG related consulting work, providing sustainable development strategy and business model consulting services for enterprises.
Dr. Yip has more than 30 years of experience in banking, finance and consulting and worked at CCIC Finance Limited, a merchant bank now known as JPMorgan Chase Bank, as a Senior Manager of the China Business Unit, responsible for trade finance, syndicated loans, financial advisory and debt restructuring.
Dr. Yip has studied in the UK and obtained dual master's degrees: a Master of Sustainability Leadership from the University of Cambridge, a Master of Accounting and Finance from Lancaster University, and recently a Master of Management from Harvard University and a PhD in Business Management from the Trinity Saint David, University of Wales. Dr. Yip is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and the Hong Kong Institute of Bankers. In 1999, he became one of the first in the world to obtain the Certified Documentary Credit Specialist (CDCS) qualification.
