fbm

We are at a time when Mainland China's economy and financial sector are experiencing rapid growth. It has become the world's second largest economy and the driving force of the world economy. While the Mainland China's financial market needs to be more closely aligned with the rest of the world, it also needs to develop its own financial development path. This will put the industry under pressure and will be challenging in various aspects. The financial and business management industry has become increasingly demanding. On the one hand, people in the industry need to have relevant financial and investment management experience and knowledge; on the other hand, they need to have a global perspective and a good understanding of the world's best financial and business management models. At the same time, the market also requires financial and business managers to demonstrate a wide range of competencies.

Testimonials

“My encounter with the University of Hong Kong (HKU) began in late summer and early autumn. The diversity, tolerance and forward-looking internationalisation of the University, the rigour, self-discipline, self-improvement and self-effacement of the faculty members, and the same ‘empty cup’ mentality and continuous improvement of my classmates with different backgrounds, ages and experiences brought me not only a new perspective and multi-dimensionality, but also the thickness of my life, introspection and internalisation, so that I would always return to the place of my efforts. Spring ploughing and summer ploughing, autumn harvesting and winter storage’, “efforts always return”. Lifelong learning, always keep a heart of exploration, you will meet new landscapes, new encounters, new wind and rain brilliant. This profound journey of discovery will be long-lasting and new.”

陈梦伟  (FBM SH6)  北京盈科(上海)律师事务所 合伙人

“HKU ICB is not only a school, but also a big family. Here, I have met many like-minded friends, learnt a lot of business management knowledge, and deeply experienced the spirit of the school motto ‘Ming De Ge Shi’. It teaches us to have a noble character and the spirit of pursuing truth. This spirit will accompany me throughout my life and inspire me to pursue excellence.”

吉郑  (FBM SZ7)  深圳中正粮食集团有限公司董事长 深圳市企业家协会副会长 金湖县政协十一届委员会常务委员

“The learning in ICB let me re-arrange my lack of professional knowledge and thinking framework, especially the professional knowledge and rich practical experience of the teachers of various subjects, so that we learn not only the theoretical basis, but also real case sharing and classroom discussion, so that we can integrate the knowledge of the classroom, and greatly improve our ability to analyse the problem and discursive ability. ICB has both practical and different perspective. The ICB has both practical and theoretical foundations from different perspectives, especially the international vision of the teachers and the pull of the teaching style so that we can learn a rich framework of knowledge, although each time only two days, but the granularity of the content and professional teaching methods so that we can gain a lot, especially after the class and in the work of the learned a lot of cognitive cages that have not been considered before. Now we still have half a year to go before graduation, and we have also started the preparation work for the project.

In addition to the knowledge that we can learn here, we can also gain a large group of super interesting classmates, who are all independent in their own positions as managers, bosses, and financial practitioners, etc. To quote one of the teachers, he said, ‘I'm very happy to be here. To quote one of the teachers, why do you like the teaching profession? The biggest reason is that every student is a book, different colours, different light, in ICB we can learn more different industries, because they are our mentors and friends on the road of learning, illuminating each other, encouraging each other, classmates and teachers is the biggest wealth to come to ICB, with our goodwill and enthusiasm to embrace this uncertain world, feel the world's changes. This is just the beginning of our journey and we will be lifelong learners.”
