Dr. Ray Li
Adjunct Associate Professor at HKU ICB; Former CFO and Group Executive Committee member of Ping An Group, PhD in Finance from ISM International Management Institute
Dr Li has over 25 years of extensive experiences in corporate finance, capital market, and management consulting in China, US and Canada.
Dr Li was the Former Group Finance Director and Executive Managing Director at PingAn Group (PAG) since 2017 to 2023. He was responsible for PAG’s finance strategy and operations on the insurance, banking, asset management, and technology businesses. He was a member of PAG’s Strategic Budgeting, Risk & Audit, Investors’ Relations, Financial Reporting Executive Committees. He had served as Board Director at the PingAn Trust, PingAn Securities, PingAn Technology, PingAn Financial Services, Lufax, OneConnect, and others. Prior to that, Ray served as VP-Chief Marketing Officer and CFO at SF Express International, Head of Group Risk & Compliance at CIBC. In addition, he has provided strategy and management consulting to global Fortune 500 companies at large US based world-wide consulting firm.
Ray is a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Chartered Global Management Accountants (CGMA). He earned his PhD degree in Finance from the International School of Management, MBA and Bachelor of Accounting degrees from the Minnesota State Universities.
