Mr. Ray Yuen has more than 30 years of experience in media and digital video content broadcast management, marketing, business development, production, and tertiary education promotion and communications. He has worked in the management team of Time Warner Group, Fox Media Group (formerly known as Xing Kong Media), the satellite TV channel of Cheung Kong Hutchison Industries Co., Ltd. (Hong Kong TOM Group), hk.on.cc of Oriental Daily News, Hong Kong Cable TV, StarEast Group, and Asia Television and other international and local large-scale media and content production companies, leading the team to develop media and digital content management, marketing and communications, and production business in European and American regions, Asia, Mainland China, and China Hong Kong markets.

In 2011, Ray was invited to join the higher education sector and manage the marketing and communications team of a self-financing higher education institution of a Hong Kong SAR government-funded university, formulating and implementing an integrated strategic plan for admission and promotion, and coordinating its large-scale international and local academic seminars, as well as managing brand communications and corporate communications projects. He once produced a short promotional video for the institution, adopting the target audience's perspective and using interesting and novel shooting techniques. The video broke the viewing records of the institution's YouTube Channel once it was launched, and the record has been upheld to this day.

When Ray worked in large local and international media, he oversaw different management positions and gained extensive experience in traditional and innovative media and cross-platform marketing. He is good at planning and executing creative and forward-looking marketing plans with limited resources. For example, when the app boom was just beginning in Hong Kong, Ray and his team took the lead in planning the industry's first large-scale election campaign "My Top 10 Favorite Hong Kong Apps” at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center, which was warmly welcomed and boosted the development of the local App industry.

Ray graduated from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Hong Kong with a bachelor's degree and earned an MBA from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and a master’s degree in translation and interpretation from the City University of Hong Kong. He also graduated with a Professional Diploma in Health Counselling with distinction from the School of Continuing Education, Hong Kong Baptist University. He has also been certified as a Team Management Analyst with Team Management Systems (TMS) leadership development psychometric analysis tools.

Ray was awarded the 2021/22 Outstanding Teacher Award for his tireless improvement of teaching methods that are inspiring to students.
