Prof Guido Gianasso mainly researches on International Leadership and Cultural Intelligence (CQ), and in particular on the relationship between Cultural Intelligence and job performance. He is a recipient of several teaching awards, including the 2020 Nanyang Business School "Teacher of the Year Award" and the 2020 Wealth Management Institute “Distinguished Teaching Award” (Singapore).

Prof Gianasso also serves as Senior Advisor to the Cambodian Minister of Telecommunications, on the Board of Trustees of the American University of Phnom Penh, (AUPP), and as President of its Center for Leadership and Professional Development (CLPD). Prof. Gianasso is a regular speaker at international conferences and consults with leading MNC such as Nestle, Alstom, STMicroelectronics, and he is often interviewed by Channel News Asia and regularly contributes to Straits Times in Singapore.

Before moving full-time to the Education sector, Prof. Gianasso worked for almost three decades as a senior corporate executive. He was Chief Human Resources Officer and Executive Committee member in the Aviation and Security sectors, helping CEOs driving major change programs. he was also the Managing Director of the IATA Training and Development Institute (ITDI) a large training organization delivering management and technical programs for over 50.000 air transport professionals every year.

In his long and distinguished career, Prof. Gianasso served as Vice-President of the Diplomatic Club of Geneva (Switzerland), on the Eurocontrol DR Supervisory Board (Brussels, Belgium), as Senior Advisor to the Romanian Minister for Foreign Affairs (Bucharest, Romania), and on the IMD Executive Education Advisory Council (Lausanne, Switzerland).

Prof Gianasso is a passionate Adventure Traveller. Before moving to Qatar, he lived and worked in Singapore, Switzerland, Italy, India, Cuba, and the US. He teaches in English, French, and Italian and is also fluent in Spanish and Romanian.
