Background

In the context of the interwoven trends of global industrial chain restructuring and de-globalisation, Chinese enterprises are shifting from simple "product export" to a more complex model of "global strategy coupled with localised in-depth cultivation." During their international expansion, these enterprises commonly face the following four major challenges:

  1. Global Market Positioning  Inaccurate market selection, mismatched strategies, information gaps, and decision-making biases lead to wasted resources and stalled growth.

  2. Establishing Cross-border Compliance  Enterprises lack systematic mechanisms to respond to complex and ever-changing international regulations.

  3. Optimising Financial Operations  Restricted overseas financing channels, insufficient tax planning, inefficient revenue and expenditure management, and exchange rate fluctuations impede their global expansion.

  4. Improving Local Operational Efficiency  Blindly replicating domestic business models results in "acclimatisation," coupled with high expatriate costs and insufficient local operational capabilities.

  5. Academic Recognition  Upon completing the course and passing the assessment, participants will receive an official statement of achievement issued by HKU ICB.

Hong Kong, as a "super-connector" and "super value-adder," offers enterprises diversified financing, optimised cross-border payments, a robust risk control system backed by solid legal foundations, and cross-cultural management expertise through its free port policy, international legal environment, offshore financial hub status and global networks. It is the best launching pad for Chinese enterprises going global.
