Dr Norman Sze

Dr. Sze has over 30 years of professional experience in management consulting and accounting. As a pioneer of China's management consulting industry, he has served various domestic industry leaders. In light of his long-standing expertise and contribution to the industry, he has previously been named as one of the Leading Financial Services Consultants in China by Euromoney. He was conferred the Honorary University Fellowship by The University of Hong Kong.
Dr. Sze is a pioneer in the consulting industry in Mainland China. He began his career in 1985. In 1994, he took the lead in establishing management consulting business in China. He has been in charge of different fields of consulting business in China for more than 30 years, including the first to assist foreign enterprises to invest in China in the 1990s, the first to participate in the reform of state-owned enterprises including strategic and digital transformation in 1994, one of the best lecturers in the training class for key cadres of state-owned enterprises, the first to assist private enterprises to develop Internet business in early 2000, the first to assist China's banking industry to meet international risk standards in 2002, the first to assist local governments in improving the business environment and relevant policies for the development of science and technology innovation industry in 1997, the first to lead Deloitte to become the first professional service company to establish an enterprise university in China in 2020, and the Hong Kong government's artificial intelligence supercomputing center and science and technology innovation industry planning in 2023.
Dr. Sze holds a doctorate in Business Administration and receives a postdoctoral fellowship from University of Oxford. He is a fellow member of ACCA and CPA Australia and also a member of HKICPA.
His doctoral thesis was to study the relationship between the rights and interests and performance of SOE companies. It was within the project of between Shanghai Jiaotong University and the French ICD Business School. His postdoctoral research was to study the participation of third countries along the Belt and Road at Oxford University. His recent research topics mainly focus on digital leadership, policies for the development of artificial intelligence, and the development of technological innovation industries.
Deloitte China Public Policy Research Center, under his leadership, has published a number of cutting-edge reports on China's super smart cities, development of the Greater Bay Area, business environment, digital parks and international consumption center cities.
