Mr Yi is an expert in law, technology, and aviation management, with a interdisciplinary academic foundation and extensive international experience. His work focuses on advancing technological innovation, optimizing public policy, and shaping the future of air mobility. As a research fellow at the Aviation Working Group (AWG) under UNIDROIT, he has made significant contributions to aviation regulation, aviation finance, cross-border transfers, and bilateral aviation safety. 

His career began with the Fortune 500 company Best Buy, specializing in product innovation and brand strategy. He later became a venture capital partner at RUNWAY, an venture capital and incubator platform bridging Silicon Valley and China, supporting hundreds of startups in technological commercialization. As the Greater China and Europe Delegation Leader for the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), he fostered cooperation between tech industries across the US, China, and Europe. He is currently President and Chief Instructor of Nice Air Mobility and serves as a Senior Advisor at Wintell & Co., focusing on international dispute resolution and cross-border investment. 

Mr Yi holds multiple interdisciplinary degrees: Master of International Financial Management from Carleton University (Canada), Master of Aviation Science from ENAC (France), Master of International Aviation Law from the University of Toulouse, and LLM in European Business Law (Honours) from Leiden University (Netherlands) , Innovation & Entrepreneurship at Stanford GSB and studied US Law and Bankruptcy at Columbia Law School. He is a licensed pilot, sailor, and offshore rescuer. Certified instructor and international judge. 

His research spans aviation finance, DFR standards, UAM regulation, urban air traffic management, data security, and AI governance. With professional experience in North America and Europe, he brings deep diverse-cultural and cross-jurisdictional insights and frequently speaks and teaches on innovation, regulation, international market access, and future air mobility.
