Mr Zhang Wen is the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Biren Technology, a leading AI chip enterprise. He has long been deeply engaged in the new-generation information technology sectors such as integrated circuits and artificial intelligence, with outstanding achievements in corporate strategy, management, and capital market operations.

Founded in 2019, Biren Technology is dedicated to developing high-performance general-purpose GPUs, building an independent and original high-performance GPU software and hardware system, and fostering a domestic intelligent computing industry ecosystem. The company’s first-generation general-purpose GPU product, based on an original chip architecture, offers high computing power, energy efficiency, and versatility, covering all mainstream AI models. Biren’s products are widely used in AI training and inference scenarios, featuring an open ecosystem, easy migration, and flexible deployment, and have been adopted in intelligent computing centres across multiple regions.

Before founding Biren Technology, Mr Zhang served as President of SenseTime and participated in establishing a large LED chip company, where he acted as President and CEO. Prior to returning to China, he worked in the United States for many years as an M&A lawyer at a top-tier law firm.

Mr Zhang holds a Doctor of Juris (J.D.) degree from Harvard University and an MBA from Columbia Business School. He is a recipient of the Shanghai Magnolia Silver Award, an outstanding entrepreneur in Shanghai’s IT industry, and was honoured as Entrepreneur of the Year 2021 by China Entrepreneur Black Horse and Entrepreneur of the Year 2022 by CYZone.
