Mr. Li is the Chairman of Chenghe Group and the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of HH&L Acquisition Co (NYSE: HHLA) and the founder and Chairman of Chenghe Acquisition Co (NASDAQ: CHEA). He was previously the Chief Investment Officer and Chief Operating Officer of China Great Wall Assets (International) and the Managing Director of Great Wall Global Asset Management Co.

Mr. Li was previously Managing Director and Head of China Securities at Goldman Sachs Asia, where he was responsible for the Greater China investment and trading business. Prior to that, he worked at Deutsche Bank Hong Kong as Head of North Asia Capital Markets, responsible for Deutsche Bank's capital markets operations and investment business in North Asia, and also worked at Merrill Lynch and the World Bank. Prior to that, he worked at the Ministry of Finance of the State.

Mr. Li received his Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Master's degree in Finance from Nankai University, and his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Columbia University Graduate School of Business. He was a visiting scholar at Harvard University in 2019.
