Mr Franklin Xu has over 20 years of experience in IT and full lifecycle delivery of large enterprise software projects. He is currently a renowned expert in IT performance improvement and enterprise digital transformation, particularly in helping traditional enterprises transform to modern IT capabilities such as DevOps, agile development, lean IT, and digital service management.

His career history includes working as a software development professional, project management professional, consultant in software and service product divisions, and senior executive in large IT companies, holding management positions such as department manager, business unit director, and vice president in both domestic and multinational companies, as well as many years of overseas experience.

He has been helping traditional IT projects to introduce agile development practices since 2004, and was one of the first pioneers to introduce Kanban methodology in China. He has been involved in the entire process of large Internet enterprises from waterfall to agile to DevOps (including cloud, containerization and microservices) when DevOps was just budding in China, and has accumulated valuable transformation experience and case studies.

Franklin is an active advocate of IT performance improvement and digital transformation in China, the core organizer of DevOpsDays China, a special guest of DevOpsDays Taipei, an invited expert of International Best Practice Management Alliance (IBPA), the Chinese translator of Kanban Methodology for Agile Project Management, the main reviewer of DevOps Best Practices, the translator and reviewer of EXIN DevOps Foundation, and translator and reviewer of the 2018 State of DevOps Survey Report.

He holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Wales, UK and is a Certified Professional Trainer (CIPT) from the International Institute of Professional Management, UK.
